Tyson Foods is heading toward its fiscal fourth-quarter results with analysts expecting weaker earnings and continued losses in the company’s beef business, according to projections cited by Yahoo Finance.

The Springdale-based meat processor is expected to release its results before the U.S. market opens on Nov. 16. Analysts cited in the financial report forecast diluted earnings of $0.65 per share for the quarter, down from $1.15 per share in the same period a year earlier.

Beef remains the main pressure

For the full fiscal year, the analysts’ estimates call for earnings of $3.49 per share, compared with $4.12 per share in fiscal 2025. Their projection for fiscal 2027 is higher, at $3.73 per share, reflecting an expected improvement after the current year’s weaker comparison.

Tyson has reduced its fiscal 2026 revenue-growth forecast to a range of 1.5% to 2%, from an earlier range of 2.5% to 3.5%. Continued weakness in beef was identified as a key factor in the lower outlook. The projections cited by Yahoo Finance include potential beef operating losses of as much as $775 million.

  • Projected fiscal fourth-quarter earnings: $0.65 per share
  • Projected fiscal 2026 earnings: $3.49 per share
  • Fiscal 2026 revenue-growth outlook: 1.5% to 2%
  • Projected beef operating losses: up to $775 million

Tyson’s business includes beef, pork, chicken and prepared foods sold to consumer, foodservice and international markets. Its brands include Tyson, Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park and Aidells. The company operates across multiple protein categories, but the outlook remains particularly exposed to livestock supplies and processing margins in beef.

The company’s chicken, prepared-foods and branded-product operations provide other sources of revenue within the business. Tyson’s scale and product range distinguish it from more specialized food manufacturers, while the current projections show the effect of weaker conditions in one of its largest categories.

The Nov. 16 release will provide the company’s reported fiscal fourth-quarter and full-year results, along with management’s financial outlook for the business. Investors and analysts are expected to focus on demand, margins and the performance of the beef segment.
